Greetings from Conyers, GA...

Dillon's Flat Stanley traveled to Conyers, Georgia to visit Tara and Kelsie.  The first day he went to guitar practice with Kelsie and grocery shopping.  On the second day, Flat Stanley went to work with Tara. She teaches at Redan Elementary School which is located in Lithonia, Georgia.  Stanley wanted his picture taken with her Kindergarten class.  Today was Career Day at her school.  They were visited by the Sanitation Department, the Police, the Fire Department, and a physical trainer.

Flat Stanley got to spend a little time at a small waterfall on Pigeon Mountain, then visited Cherokee Falls at Cloudland Canyon State Park.  This was followed by a quick trip to Covenant College which is located at the top of Lookout Mountain.  Then he had some dinner at a Thai restaurant at the bottom of the mountain near Chattanooga, Tennessee.  At the end of his travels for the day, Flat Stanley needed a late night snack from McDonald's.

Our Adventure Begins...

Hi,
My name is Melanie Hilldrup and I am a First Grade teacher at Richlands Primary School in Richlands, NC.  Recently, our class read the story Flat Stanley by Jeff Brown.  This book is about a little boy named Stanley Lampchop who gets flattened by a bulletin board and has lots of adventures.  In one of his adventures, his parents mail him to California to visit a friend.

Our class has made their own Flat Stanleys and have mailed them out all over the world.  We can't wait to find out about the places our Stanleys are visiting and the adventures they have.  If you have received one of our Flat Stanleys, please let us know here if he arrived safely.

Thanks again for helping our class out on our project, we hope you have lots of fun!
